Poorest students in England are in line for a massive debt burden if they bother going to University. Thanks to the ConDem's.

Universities Minister David Willetts announced proposals to raise the tuition fee cap to £6,000, with institutions able to charge up to £9,000 in "exceptional circumstances." That's a possible £27,000 for a three year course.

The ConDem coalition has once again failed to deliver. The LibDems stood in the General Election on a platform of "No increase in tuition fees". The Tories were never going to do anything other than increase them. Now we can see what they have come up with. Surely they have conspired to keep our youth of the future in continual debt. Essentially no different from modern day slavery.

Professor Tim Congdon CBE argues for a referendum on our membership of the EU.

A referendum on EU membership is now essential

Clear majorities of the British people want their country to leave the European Union. A recent YouGov poll found that 47 per cent wanted the UK out of the EU, compared with 33 per cent who preferred to stay in. Bizarrely, the latest Eurobarometer of public attitudes – which is financed by the European Commission – had earlier demonstrated a similar result. It showed that 33 per cent of its UK respondents regarded the EU as “a bad thing”, while 29 per cent viewed it as a “a good thing”.

EU "Swift" DATA agreement is illegal.

Gerard Batten, UKIP’s justice spokesman, has slammed EU plans to create a vast database of individuals’ financial information which they will then share with the US, supposedly for security reasons.

The so called ‘Swift’ agreement was rewritten when MEPs rejected original proposals in February. The newly drafted agreement was rubber stamped (July 8), with even supportive MEPs admitting that it isn’t perfect

Speaking in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Mr Batten, UKIP MEP for London, said: “You have created an illegal state and now you are making illegal laws,” he said.

Thanks from UKIP Liverpool

Many thanks to the people that voted UKIP on 6th May. A qualified success. We didn't make that breakthrough that we desired. But the party is in a stronger political position today than it has ever been before.

Gordon Brown calls millions of voters bigots

Gordon Brown is typical of our political class when he accuses Gillian Duffy of being a bigot. They sit in their ivory towers talking down to the voters. Mrs Duffy asked about the effect of uncontrolled mass immigration on public services and the benefits system.
This is a concern to voters, second only to the economy. Brown and the other two parties treat the working man with contempt and pat us on the head and say "we know best, now move along".
